On the 29th October 2008 a female passenger left her purse on our 75A service from Woolton Village to Paradise Street Bus Station. After realising it was missing she stopped another 75A bus. The driver was Ian, who in the passengers words 'was extremely helpful and kind' and advised the passenger to wait at Allerton Road for the next bus as it was a 10 min service. She asked the next driver who again was sympathetic and helpful, but did not have it either. Later on she asked the third driver who again did not have the purse. At this point panic started to set in, until the last bus turned the corner and she recognised him! The driver was Gus and he had her purse, with all the contents in it. The passenger has sent in a thank you card and in it says 'I would like to thank Gus and the other drivers involved in this saga, from the bottom of my heart and I want all at Huyton Travel to know they have got lovely drivers working for them and to be proud of them' |
